Woman creates contact between mother’s face and book #WordsHurt

21-year-old Ahlana Jones was charged with domestic assault after hitting her mother in the face with a book and the two squabbled about laundry.

On November 1st, Clarksville Police Department Officer Timothy Green arrived at 2433 Whitfield Road in response to a domestic violence call. Ahlana Jones and her mother, Tracy Lauderdale, had gotten into an argument because Tracy wanted to be taken home, but Ahlana said she needed to do some cleaning. Tracy claims that while she was throwing things out of a laundry basket, she heard Ahlana say she was hit by a toy.

When Tracy turned around, Ahlana slapped her so hard she fell. Ahlana then took her children to a bedroom and Tracy followed her to the door and slapped her back. Ahlana then hit Tracy with a book, leaving red swelling on the left side of her face. At this point, Tracy called the police while Ahlana went back to cleaning the house. When police arrived Tracy was outside loading things in their car. Ahlana was determined to be the primary aggressor and was taken into custody.

Ahlana Jones was arrested and charged with domestic assault. She was released on a $500 bond.
