Soldier points gun to woman after arguing about Snapchat, says “I’ll show you what a man is”

21-year-old Juan Martinez-Pruneda was charged with aggravated assault after he was involved in an argument with a woman about Snapchat, pushed her to the ground, then pointed a gun at her saying “I’ll show you what a man is”.

On July 15th, Officer Gadberry, around 9:30 am, arrived at 712 Cayce Drive in response to a domestic violence call. The officer made contact with the victim who said the defendant became upset with her after an argument about her use of Snapchat.

She stated that when he was upset he started throwing her children’s things outside then pushed her down to the ground. At this time they were separated, Pruneda later was found cleaning his gun to which the victim asked if he thinks that makes him a man. He placed the weapon against her body and responded with, “I’ll show what a man is,” she stated.

Officer Gadberry spoke to Pruneda who said they had an argument and that she would not leave him alone and let him sleep. He reported that he observed a mark on the victim’s right knee consistent with him pushing her. With the mark and the statement, Pruneda was found to be the primary aggressor and was placed into custody.

Juan Martinez-Pruneda was arrested and charged with aggravated assault. His bond was set at $25,000.
