Roommate picks fight and loses, gets charged with aggravated assault after shooting

25-year-old Dominic Brown was charged with two counts of aggravated assault when he picked a fight by punching someone and when he was subdued, fired a gun in retaliation.

On June 14th, Montgomery County Sheriff Deputy Houston responded to shots fired at 1868 Mimi Road. According to the affidavit, Dominic Brown’s roommate and a visitor told authorities that he had come downstairs, punched one of them and they subdued him.

They also advised that he ran upstairs and when he came back down, fired two shots at them from a handgun. The officer found a spent casing and projectile at the bottom of the stairs and stated that Brown admitted to being intoxicated. There is no domestic history between Dominic Brown and the victim who was visiting.

Dominic Brown was arrested and charged with two counts of aggravated assault. His bond was set at $30,000.
