Repeat offender charged for possession of meth and driving on revoked #ScoopFrequentFlier

46-year-old William Neal was charged with possession of meth, unlawful removal of tags, unlawful drug paraphernalia, and driving on a revoked license after a check of his vehicle’s tags came back to a different vehicle.

On November 27th, Montgomery County Sheriff’s Deputy Leblanc initiated a traffic stop on a red Pontiac after it swerved out its lane twice, on North Riverside Drive. Deputy Leblanc identified the driver as William Neal. A records check reported the license plate on the vehicle was for a different vehicle, a 1996 Firebird. It also showed Neal had his license revoked from a DUI charge in 2006, and he had previously been charged with driving on a revoked license in 2018 and 2020.

When the vehicle was searched, Deputy Leblanc located under the center console a small needle with liquid in it, a larger needle, a small pill Neal claimed to be a muscle relaxer, and the bottom of a soda can. Also, in a small black bag, the deputy located a powdered substance that field-tested positive as 1.5 grams of methamphetamine and Fentanyl. Neal was then taken into custody.

William Neal was arrested and charged with possession of meth, unlawful drug paraphernalia, driving on a revoked license, and unlawful removal of registration plate. He was later released on a $4000 bond.
