Palmyra woman caught with stolen Visa card during breaking & entering investigation

24-year-old Brittany Coombs was charged with theft. Coombs matched the description of a woman suspected of breaking into a home in the area of Vernon Creek. When police made contact with her they found a stolen Visa card.

On September 10th, Montgomery County Deputy Jackson made contact with Brittany Coombs on Budds Creek Road near Locust Grove Church while investigating a breaking and entering call in the area of Vernon Creek. The owner of the home stated he had seen a female with blonde hair and a black backpack walking on Vernon Creek.

Coombs was spotted and matched the description given by the homeowner. When police searched Coombs they found a Visa card belonging to Christy Clark in her back right pocket. Coombs stated she knew Clark personally. When contact was made with Clark she advised police the card had been ordered one month ago and never received it. Clark also advised police she had moved to Cumberland Heights Road due to her mail constantly being stolen. The card was worth no more than $1,000.

Brittany Coombs was arrested and charged with theft of property. Her bond was set at $1,000.
