Officer recognizes man driving on suspended license; K9 sniffs out meth

30-year-old Anthony Foggin was charged with possession of meth and driving on a suspended license when a Clarksville Police Officer recognized him driving on a suspended license and a K9 Officer sniffed out meth.

On May 17th, Clarksville Police Officer Novenario conducted a traffic stop at the Exxon located at 1361 College Street. According to the affidavit, the officer noticed a black Chevy Suburban with Kentucky tags and recognized the driver as Anthony Foggin. Foggin had his license revoked after driving under the influence in 2016.

K9 Officer Weaver and his K9 Companion Riggs performed a public odor sniff and the results prompted a probable cause search. The probe produced .4 grams of meth stowed in a cigarette container. Despite there being two other occupants, Shirley Smith and Brian Gordon, Foggin was the only person with access to the meth. He was also already on probation for a meth charge.

Anthony Foggin was arrested and charged with possession of meth and driving on a suspended license. His bond was set at $12,500.
