Man with history of assault witnessed moving his step-daughter by her neck and arms

34-year-old Joshua Anderson was charged with domestic assault after he reportedly grabbed his step-daughter by her neck and arms to aggressively move her.

On November 28th, Montgomery County Sheriff’s Deputy Richard Byres responded to reports of a domestic in progress at the residence of 3954 Liverworth Road. When the deputy arrived, he made contact with Mellany Ingram. Mellany stated her step-father, Joshua Anderson, came home to the residence seemingly upset. He reportedly grabbed Mellany by her neck, then her arms, and moved her.

She provided pictures of her red arm as if someone had grabbed it. Multiple people who were at the residence confirmed that Joshua was aggressive towards Mellany. She stated she was fearful that she would be harmed by him. Joshua has a history of domestic violence against family members.

On November 30th, Joshua Anderson was arrested and charged with domestic assault. He was later released on a $1,000 bond.
