Man takes chair and busts out girlfriend’s car window during argument about money

42-year-old Markquitton Sanders was charged with domestic assault and vandalism after reportedly accusing his girlfriend of stealing his money before bashing her car window in with a chair.

On December 7th, Clarksville Police Officer Doss responded to a domestic violence call at 1055 Cumberland Drive. Per the affidavit, they made contact with Brinesha McCollough and her boyfriend Markquitton Sanders. She advised they were having a verbal altercation in the house.

According to the affidavit, Markquitton had been drinking and he accused her of stealing his money. She went outside to get away from him and got into her car. He came out of the house and said “You better give me my money” before taking a chair and busting out her driver side back window while she was still inside of it. She then ran away to call 911. The busted window was valued at an estimated $300.

Markquitton Sanders was charged with domestic assault and vandalism. He was later released on a $2,500 bond.
