51-year-old Jason Fanara was charged with solicitation of a minor after police say he offered $200 to a 16-year-old girl to have sex with him.
On December 6th, Montgomery County Sheriff’s Deputy Parson responded to a call regarding a juvenile girl being offered money for sex at the Hilltop Market at 400 Highway 149 where he made contact with the 16-year-old victim and her father. According to the report, she stated that as she was going into the store, Jason Fanara was leaving and said “Hey” to which she replied “Hi.” He continued trying to speak to her, but she made her way into the store.
As she was leaving, she passed by his car and Jason called out to her again before offering her his debit card through his car window. She asked him why he was giving her that, and he replied, “Well I wanted to tell you earlier you were cute. I’ll pay you $200 if you fuck me.” She told him that she “had a boyfriend” and went to her car.
Deputy Parson made contact with Jason, who told him that he went to Hilltop to get some things he needed. As he was leaving, he saw the teen walk in and said, “It’s cold outside.” He got a few magazines before heading to his car. He let his dog out, loaded up his groceries, put his dog back in, and warmed the car up. He saw the same woman walk by his vehicle and rolled down his window. He asked her if she had a boyfriend. She replied, “No, I have a boyfriend” and then left.
On December 7th, Deputy Parson went to the Hilltop Market to get surveillance footage of the incident. It showed Jason make contact with the teenage girl when she entered the store and again in the parking lot when he stuck his arm out his window while holding something.
Jason Fanara was arrested and charged with solicitation of a minor. He was later released on a $5,000 bond.
