Man charged after officer smells the overpowering scent of marijuana coming from his car

24-year-old Wesley Boone was charged with possession of marijuana after a Clarksville Police Officer smelled the odor of marijuana coming from his car and found two bags of it while searching.

On October 24th, Wesley Boone was sitting in his car at AutoZone, 1105 Riverwood Place, when Clarksville Police Officer Martin voluntarily made contact with him. The officer stated that they could smell the aroma of marijuana wafting out of the car as they were talking to Wesley, and he admitted to having a blunt in the car.

While searching the vehicle, Officer Martin found a bag which he suspected to be filled with marijuana in the driver’s side door. The officer then searched Wesley and found a small bag of the same substance in his pocket. The substance was tested and was found to contain THC.

Wesley Boone was arrested and charged with simple possession of marijuana and was released on a $2,500 bond.
