Man attempts to hit neighbor with pipe while arguing over trashcan

48-year-old Jason Douglas McBryant was charged with aggravated assault after threatening his neighbor with a metal pipe over a trashcan that had been hit while it was in the road.

On September 18th, Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office Deputy Acree responded to an assault after the fact, at 3935 Old Highway 48. Upon arrival, Deputy Acree made contact with Mr. Michael Adkins, who stated he and McBryant had argued about a trashcan that was hit in the road.

Adkins told the deputy that McBryant attempted to assault him, returned to his truck for a metal pipe, and attacked him again. Mr. Adkins stated that due to his current medical conditions, he feared for his life. McBryant was not on scene when the deputy arrived, and a warrant was issued for his arrest.

Jason Douglas McBryant was arrested on September 29th and charged with aggravated assault. His bond was set at $5,000.
