Intoxicated man booked for being a nuisance at BL Market

50-year-old Chino Smith was charged with public intoxication after he was observed trying to take beer from BL Market without paying and asking customers for cigarettes and money.

On September 15th, CPD Officer Castin Lanham arrived at 1361 College Street in response to a public intoxication call. Upon arrival, Chino Smith was identified as the person who matched the description of the caller. The gas station owner told police that Smith was asking other customers for cigarettes and money.

He also stated that Smith was attempting to take beer from the store without having any money. Smith admitted to authorities that he drank a few beers earlier that day with a friend. Smith was determined to by an annoyance to the business and was taken into custody. The mugshot used is from a previous arrest.

Chino Smith was arrested and charged with public intoxication. His bond was set at $439.
