Family charged after officer follows them home from Rookies and forces entry into home

43-year old Amiee Brock & 47-year-old Roman Brock were charged with disorderly conduct and resisting arrest and 42-year-old Dominic Brock was charged with DUI, evasion, turn signals, and assault when CPD Officer Hyatt followed them home from Rookies bar and forced entry into their home in what she called a “hot pursuit”.

On July 26th, Clarksville Police Officer Rosa Hyatt observed a black sedan depart Rookie’s Sports Bar located at 1348 Fort Campbell Boulevard. According to affidavits, Officer Hyatt had made contact with both the driver Dominic Brock and his passenger Roman Brock a short time prior. She advised she had approached the car where Roman was passed out in the passenger seat and that Roman told her he was “fucked up” and that his driver was inside.

When Dominic Brock came out of Rookie’s, he was immediately identified as impaired and denied that he was going to drive. Dominic was the operator of the car when Officer Hyatt tried to stop him at 206 Marshall Street. Dominic ignored her and entered the residence while another passenger Amiee Brock, who is Dominic’s wife, attempted to close the door. Officer Hyatt forced entry in what she refers to as a “hot pursuit”. She found Dominic in the kitchen, he was irate and in the officer’s face. Hyatt noted that Officer Ashford was being restricted from entering the home by Amiee when Roman entered the kitchen and also intimidated her.

Hyatt then called for “emergency backup” as she stated the Brock brothers were becoming increasingly aggressive and she was afraid officers would be harmed. She noted specifically that she was trapped in the home with two tall, large, intoxicated men and unreachable by companions. While waiting for the emergency backup, Dominic drank another beverage. Officer Hyatt did not attempt to arrest him or take the booze out of fear. Sergeant Fatula and Officer Dube arrived and struggled briefly with Amiee at the door before Dominic was placed into custody. Roman followed behind as they took Dominic from the home yelling profanities.

Dominic Brock refused a blood draw and to perform sobriety tests. During the interview, Amiee Brock was yelling which caused neighbors to emerge from their homes. Roman Brock refused to be placed in cuffs and was taken to the ground. When Roman would not get into the patrol car the officers pepper-sprayed him to force him into the vehicle.

Amiee Brock was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct and resisting arrest. Her bond was set at $3,500.

Dominic Brock was arrested and charged with driving under the influence, evading arrest, failure to signal for turns, and assault. His bond was set at $7,500.
