Driver charged after having a morning Four Loko

39-year-old Spencer Robinson was charged with driving under the influence after admitting to drinking a Four Loko before driving down Providence Boulevard.

On October 30th, Clarksville Police Officer Marcus Onfroy, while on the search for a red Nissan Versa involved in a stalking call, spotted a vehicle with a hand-written temporary tag that matched the description. According to Onfroy, he pulled the vehicle over and met with Spencer at the intersection of Providence Boulevard and E Street.

Per Officer Onfroy affidavit, he noticed Spencer’s slurred speech as their conversation progressed. When asked to perform some sobriety tests, Spencer obliged and showed multiple signs of inebriation. The smell of alcohol reportedly emanated from Spencer as he performed his tasks. Per the affidavit, Spencer later told him that he “drank a Four Loko from a gas station after work…at 1[a.m.].” When Spencer provided a breath sample, the test resulted in a reading of .187 blood-alcohol content He was then taken into custody and transported to Montgomery County jail.

Spencer Robinson was arrested and charged with driving under the influence. He was later released on a $2,500 bond.
