Couple charged after search of vehicle yields 24 Xanax bars and meth

35-year-old Nicholas Follis was charged with possession of meth and 29-year-old Jessica Scott was charged with possession of a controlled substance after consenting to a search that yielded meth and Xanax bars.

On October 31st, Montgomery County Sheriff’s Deputy LeBlanc pulled over a vehicle that was stopped at the intersection of Dunlop Lane and International Boulevard. The vehicle attempted to leave the intersection once Deputy LeBlanc turned on his emergency lights, but he caught up and the car pulled onto the shoulder of the road.

The driver, Jessica Scott, informed Deputy LeBlanc she “was not under the influence of anything,” just distracted by a conversation with her husband, Nicholas Follis. Jessica consented to have the vehicle searched and Leblanc found Xanax bars and a small amount of methamphetamine. Deputy Leblanc then had probable cause to search Nicholas, who had two pill bottles containing 24 bars of Xanax and 7.8 grams of meth. According to the report, Jessica admitted to owning the Xanax, but denied knowing about the meth. A search in the system also revealed Jessica’s license was revoked due to a DUI in 2016.

Nicholas Follis was arrested and charged with possession of methamphetamine. He was later released on a $2,500 bond.

Jessica Scott was arrested and charged with possession of Xanax and driving on a revoked license. She was later released on a $6,000 bond.
